Hosting my First Event: Slurp and Socialize

The Need for Coffee was first incepted three years back. It all started when my interest in specialty coffee piqued after I won a coffee master class in 2019. What I learnt on that day got me instantly hooked and I immediately dived into the rabbit hole. Exploring different cafes, brewing pour over at home and documenting it here for almost 5 years.

The theme of the blog has remained the same since. It was primarily about sharing my specialty coffee experience and along the way, I have made countless friends and individuals who have guided me. It could be you reading this article or following my journey and without all of you this platform would not be what it is today, so thank you.

Fast forward to today, I am hosting my first event jointly with Victoria Arduino and Oatly. We have called it Slurp and Socialize, an apt name for a public cupping event aimed at the coffee community to gather, taste interesting coffees and network.

It is taking place on the 23rd of April at the Victoria Arduino Experience Lab in Dubai. We are bringing coffees from some of the finest roasteries around the world, and that includes our beloved local roasters in the UAE as well.

Here’s a sneak preview of some of the coffees we will be cupping:

They are part of The Coffeevine Box sent to Dubai every month as a collective. Join our group to be the first to know when the order forms are sent.

We will be cupping coffees, brewing on the Black Eagle Maverick using Pure Brew Technology and steaming Oatly all day long using Easy Cream, another innovation by Victoria Arduino.

Don’t forget to register here and I’m looking forward to seeing you there.
