Two Neighbors: curated, earthy and sophisticated

Two Neighbors

Two Neighbors

Madinat Badr is home to another beautiful cafe - Two Neighbors. If I had known before that I am stepping foot into a place that was ideal for a date night, then I would have left the kids with a baby sitter.

Good thing the oldest one was well behaved, credit goes to the babyccino. Pro tip to the parents, get them a babyccino. They will behave adequately and you will have a good time.

You will stop and notice the AREMDE as soon as you enter, finished in a unique champagne gold. This was clearly the trophy showpiece in this eatery. And why won’t it be, when you can see your coffee shot being extracted.

Two Neighbors

The espresso flowed out of the portafilter like a thick nectar, and I knew instantly that it was the ideal extraction. My flat white had beans originating from Indonesia and roasted locally courtesy of RoR Coffee Roastery.

The interior is in a unique Martian red, it emanates a feeling that everything is made out of clay, raw, molded with hands like pottery. I can understand the appeal though, certain areas of the Grand Canyon light up in this unique reddish orange during sunrise and sunset.

Next visit, I’m going to drop the coffee and head here for dinner - diverse as the culture in Dubai. I’m going to opt for a flat white as dessert, I know it.
