World of Coffee Dubai 2022 was the talk-of-the-town when the first edition was announced in the fourth quarter of 2019. As the curtains of that event closed, it promised an even bigger event the subsequent year. This year’s event hosted more than 12,000 visitors, a twofold increase from last year.

When World of Coffee announced that it will take place in Dubai, I had the faintest idea that it would be at this scale. This is Europe’s largest coffee trade show that travels to a different city in Europe every year.
What I’m Brewing: Costa Rica Don Eli (Cup of Excellence 2021) by Mattina Coffee
This is a limited edition Costa Rica from the Don Eli farm. This coffee scored an 89.21 and stood 8th out of the top 30 coffees at the Cup of Excellence Costa Rica 2021 auction that took place a few months ago.

What if I told you that I was a judge for a latte art completion, would you believe it? Me neither. I’m grateful to the guys at Mattina Coffee for inviting me to be one of the judges for their end of the year latte art battle that happened earlier this week.

The coffee events are at full swing and perhaps the most talked about is the Milan World Coffee Championships taking place in Italy. I wish I could attend it in-person but I was pretty excited ending last week with Mattina Coffee and Hacienda La Esmeralda Coffee Tasting.
