What I’m Brewing: Ethiopia Halo Beriti and Panama Graciano Cruz by Archers
I knew Archers meant business when I first brewed their Costa Rica H17. This coffee was super complex and every time I changed my recipe, I got different notes. Strong notes of green apple one time, and sweet and sour pineapple the other time. Was it my inability To brew consistently or was it just magic? Let’s go with the former because I love experimenting.
What I’m Brewing!
My primary way of brewing coffee at home is using the V60, Chemex, and the Aeropress. I also like to change from time to time and opt for a classic French Press or a Mokapot.

What I’m Brewing: Ethiopia Uraga Indigo Lot 0412 by Grandmother Coffee Roastery
I hate wasting coffee and I also can’t help myself when something unique catches my eye, or in this case - tastebuds. This coffee hails from Uraga which is one of the woredas i.e. another word for district, in Ethiopia.
The Chemex Doesn’t Need any Introduction
My first pour over drink was brewed in a Chemex, this fancy looking glass carafe was why I ordered the drink in the first place and thought to myself that why would one have coffee black and without milk?
My Favorite Pour Over: Hario V60
V60 is perhaps the most popular brewing methods in specialty coffee along with other brewers such as Chemex, Kalita, Melitta etc., all fall under the pour-over or dripper classification.
